This level introduces the enemy Pokey and Spiny. The first level in World 2, it is a desert-based level. If the player beats Mummipokey while in mini form, the player will gain access to World 4, instead of going to World 3. Unlocking Warp Pipes means that the player can skip some levels, and complete the world without completing all the levels. This world introduces the idea of Warp Pipes - a means of transportation from one level to another. is fought here for the second time in the Tower, and the boss of this world is Mummipokey. It is a large Desert-themed world, with enemies such as Pokeys and Lakitus. World 2 is the second world in the game New Super Mario Bros. Like all of the worlds in New Super Mario Bros., World 2 contains secret routes to discover, including an alternate exit to World 4.” - Official website The coin is at the very top of the screen down a ways near the flag.“World 2 takes Mario to an arid desert landscape crawling with prickly enemies. Pilot it quickly upwards and to the right. Once you pass the midway flag of the level, head right a few screens until you see a giant Piranha plant.
Use the light brick (swallow it or pick it up) to seek out the coin at the top of this subterranean area. Jump off screen into the secret area below. A trail of coins should appear leading down. Hop down to that plant's location and drop down to the lowest block. Just before the midway flag is a fire-spitting Piranha Plant.Įat this plant, and shoot the fireball you'll get from the fiery Piranha Plant at the Plant to your left, which is nestled down a bit amongst some blocks (you can also spit an enemy at this plant to kill it).
The second coin of this level is extremely well hidden. Use Yoshi to eat Lakitu and swipe his cloud. It's right where Lakitu appears - you should have Yoshi or a Propeller Suit to make this easier.
